The STAGE programme aims to support enterprises transitioning towards sustainable and green businesses. For your transition journey, we provide range of support including in-house assessment tools, bespoke industry training materials and sustainable advisory services. The STAGE platform is open to all enterprises, our tools and materials are free to use Eligible European enterprises can also apply for grants of up to 50,000 EUR to continue the transition journey. As we are approaching the halfway mark of the STAGE project, so far our platform has:

✔ Sustainable Advisors (SA) industry experts in respective fields to give enterprises the direct support needed to become sustainable. STAGE platform will match enterprises with suitable SA’s, you can use one or more SA services to fill your gaps. Currently, there are over 300 SA’s across Europe and we are still recruiting. If you are an expert in the area of sustainability or finance and you are ready to offer your services, we look forward to hear from you.

✔ Assessment Tools: There are 2 strategic enterprise performance assessment tools available which are designed to evaluate current gaps within the business and understand what is required to achieve your future sustainability goals. The carbon footprint assessment is a detailed and comprehensive tool that enables to calculate your current emissions. The data from all these assessment are used in “Transition Plan” to create strategic business decisions and plan ambitious sustainable goals.

✔ STAGE Platform: This is a simple, user-friendly platform where enterprises and Sustainable Advisors can register to seek and offer services respectively. There are plenty of free training materials and tools available on the platform to give condensed information and guidance on implementation.

✔ Training Modules: Project partners developed over 35 training modules across 4 pillars, aiming to provide fundamental knowledge and practical guidelines to easily implement learnings within your business processes. These are focused training however can apply to many sectors to gain rapid improvements whilst focusing on long term target of becoming sustainable. The 4 training pillars are:

- Product Development – Explore value chains and demands to develop user centric products.
- Sustainability enablers – Explore innovative technologies that enable improvements.
- Production Sustainability – Explore technology implementation to gain efficiency benefits and reduce waste.
- Business Strategy – Creating sustainable growth plans, focusing on investments, budgeting, leadership and sustainability reporting.

STAGE offers grant funding to support enterprises with your transition journey. Grants are available in two phases. In the first phase, applicants can receive a lump sum of 5,000 EUR, and in the second phase, they can receive up to 45,000 EUR. Enterprises can use the grant to develop an investment plan in collaboration with dedicated advisors and use it to attract private financing for their green transition. The grant can also be spent for additional expert services that are needed for the development of the plan, such as: feasibility studies, technology assessments, prototyping, receiving bespoke consultancy services and many more, as long as the grant is used to make a positive sustainable impact on the business.

Project launch, first enterprise forum, and more!

|
|
Over the last year, consortium partners met twice. iED hosted the 3rd meeting in the city of Larissa, Greece in April 2023 in preparation for the launch of STAGE platform and Open Call. During the meeting, the roundtable discussion with local enterprises highlighted the importance of the STAGE project in giving much needed support for sustainability transition.

The 4th meeting was hosted by GND in the city of Kaunas, Lithuania in September 2023. The meeting included a forum for enterprises where valuable feedback was gained to improve the STAGE processes and platform to provide better experience to our user.

|
STAGE project’s first enterprise forum was held in the city of Kaunas, Lithuania in September 2023. The event was centered around the sustainability agenda from investor and enterprise perspectives. This event presented an opportunity for businesses to understand importance of sustainability for attracting future investments for growth.
